The Automated Temperature Control Kit contains the components necessary for automatic temperature control of solar pool heating systems. A motorized actuator connects with a control box to automatically turn solar on and off. Simply set your desired temperature and let the control box do the rest. The SolarTouch controller also provides bonus features like freeze protection & automatic nocturnal (nighttime) cooling during night time hours for pools that overheat in hot climates. Includes premium Pentair lube-free valve’s, 2″-2.5″ CPVC. Also includes an upgraded solar temperature sensor (block type) for a more accurate temperature reading at the collectors (standard type can be affected by wind & give inaccurate readings).

Automated Features

Standard Functions: Digital monitoring and calibration of water and solar temperature in 1° increments with the push of a button providing clear readings on the LCD display screen.
Freeze Protection: When the water temperature and the solar sensor temperature falls to 40° F (4° C) or below, the pool/spa water is automatically circulated through the system to prevent freezing. When the solar temperature sensor and or the water sensor reaches 42° F (6° C), or above, freeze protection will stop. In mild climates, freeze protection can help prevent solar collector damage.
Nocturnal Cooling: The SolarTouch controller provides automatic nocturnal (nighttime) cooling during night time hours for pools that overheat in hot climates. When enabled, SolarTouch controller circulates relatively warmer pool water to the collector panels when the collector temperature and the pool temperature is hotter than the high limit setting. This process cools the pool water over time.

The Pentair 3-Port Solar Valve is a key component of your solar pool heating system, allowing water to be diverted to solar to heat your pool or bypassing solar directly back to your pool.
The Pentair 2-Port Positive Seal Diverter Valve is a key component of your solar pool heating system, allowing system isolation for service work and winterizing.
The Pentair 2-Port Check Valve eliminates back flow through the solar pool heating panels.
Manufactured to strict quality standards and constructed of durable CPVC to withstand higher temperatures.
Maintenance-free PTFE coated diverter requires no lubrication.
Specialized 3-Port Solar Valve allows water to drain back through the valve draining your solar pool heating panels when the pump not running.
Withstands pressure up to 150 psi.
Fiberglass reinforced handle with field-adjustable stop positions.
Allows attachment to either 2" or 2.5" plumbing and inlet can be plumbed at any port.
